Breaking Stories:
***Update!!! We're back on Track! Jodi's computer has been fixed!

From Jodimest's DA journal:

The day will come when I find the ones responsible for my computer's
death, and they will be crushed mercilessly...

Apparently I was overdue for a financial disaster, so about two weeks
ago, our family's old (Jurassic) computer failed to connect to the
internet, likely due to a worm or spyware. We decided to invest in a
new computer to replace mom & dad's old one, since it was now 7 years
old, as well as a shiny new DSL account to boost our internet
productivity once we got there.

We get the new computer, and all is good... for about a week.

Then MY old computer (the slightly newer Paleolithic one), in the
middle of the night, decides that it's had enough of this world and
apparently administers an electric shock to itself so precise so as to
be undetectable even to close examination. That's when the fun begins.

Over the last nine days I've been running back and forth between my
friend's house and my own, trying to determine through trial and error
what went wrong on my computer. At first we suspected a hard drive
problem, since it made coffee grinder-esque noises when trying to
start Windows, which jammed up. However, after purchasing a new hard
drive and trying a direct installation, an indirect installation from
files imported to the hard drive, and an installation on another
computer entirely, we determined that it was not a hard drive problem.
Removing the video card, modem, sound card, and ram didn't reveal any
surges through those appliances either. We concluded that the problem
laid in the motherboard or even worse, the central processor. The
pricetag for the repairs would undoubtedly surpass that of a new
computer, so I decided there that my computer was officially deceased.

Meanwhile, on the shiny new computer, everything is going nicely, but
there's one problem: Verizon told us that we would have DSL by the
27th of September. Then, on the 27th, they told us that it would be
the 30th. Then, on the 30th, they told us that it would be on the 10th
of October. Thankfully, after speaking with an agent, we cleared up
that we weren't charged for September, but it's ticking me off that I
can't really move forward with the comic until I get DSL up and running.

I COULD use school terminals like I am now, but I require a scanner,
and my scanner requires the proper hardware drivers which can only be
downloaded from, you guessed it, online.

Anyway, on top of all this, my parents are blaming me for the recent
computer woes. I'm not sure why, and I certainly don't FEEL culpable,
but regardless it's difficult to work through the transfer from two
old computers to one new one flawlessly while absorbing chunks of flak
from your parents. It's a time consuming, and now sanity consuming
process. Yet another subtle cue that it's almost time for me to move
out for keeps...

I will get a new computer, in time, but my 'transgressions' naturally
prohibit me from getting any financial assistance from Mom or Dad.
Good thing is that when I get it, it will be mine and no one else can
lay claim to it, and if something goes wrong, I don't have to worry
about the developed world criticizing me for it. Just me.

I don't really expect sympathy, nor do I want it, but I did want to
inform you that your delays are my delays and that a multitude of
computer problems stands between me, you, and the Jewel Vixens. I
apologize for the lack of updates with the comic, and I'd like to
project that another page will come out this week, but lately my best
educated guesses mean absolutely nothing.

So, our artist is having computer problems. I have sent him a message with my repair advise, and I have my A+ manual nearby . Everything that can be done is being done, rest assured. We will not give up! For the Vixens!

-Old News-

March 15th: In the process of updating and dividing the cast page into sections. Moved the pics of the vixens into their individual dossiers.

March 14th: Many thanks to my Assistant Web Guru Kelketek for picking up some slack and fixing a bunch of stuff while I was gone. St. Patricks Day is coming and you know what that means... That's right... time for the launch of V.3 of the JV site! What?... you though this involved drinking? Hardly. Took in a lot of your (the fans) suggestions and fixed (are fixing) several portions of the site including the main archive page, links, cast and about pages.

Feburary 5th: Kelketek here! For those of you who noticed the problem, the strange illegibility/pixilated look of the archive pages has been corrected. Plus, a new page is up!

January 21st: Welcome to the launch of version 2.0 of the Jewel Vixens website! The place has undergone a bit of a style change as you can see, and some new pages were added. Got questions? Check out the new FAQ. The art and about secitons are still under construction, but will be completed in the next few days.
